Costa Blanca: A diverse destination


The construction of Villamartin started in 1972 and the area has now evolved beyond the Championship Golf Course (home to the 1994 Mediterranean Open) into a cosmopolitan urbanisation. But it is not only a golfer’s paradise…

The area is very popular with tourists and many expats have chosen this area to set up permanent residence, for the remainder, a good mix of many nationalities enjoy many happy holidays here year after year. You can find a large range of activities and entertainment for all the family; from water parks in Torrevieja and Ciudad Quesada, to some of the best beaches in the region, weekly markets, cinemas, parks  and plenty of retail therapy.

The nearest beach is La Zenia beach, the nearest large commercial centre in Zenia Boulevard and The area is home to El Limonar International School

The area is covered by the Costa Azul Bus Service, and more buses are added over the summer months (known as beach buses) to help with the large influx of visitors.

For those with a personal vehicle or hire car, the area very accessible via the N-332 Coastal Road or the AP7 highway (connecting you to the rest of Spain)

With over 300 days of sunshine a year and an average temperate of 20 degrees, it really is a great place for the whole family.


With the recent opening of Corvera Aiport, Murcia, Villamartin is approximately 45minutes drive from both this and Alicante International Airport.
