Is a Spanish village located on the Mediterranean Sea and comes under the jurisdiction of Pilar de la Horadada, both towns share a border with the province of Murcia. The name of the village has its origin in, the 16th century watchtower; and the site where the tower is found: the point of Horadada which comes from the Spanish word for "bore through" as it is situated on rocks made up of small caves developed by the water boring the rock. The village is also home to a small marina of 525 moorings, built on a small fishing dock, and the Guardia Civil barracks located next to the famous watchtower.
The breathtaking promenade overlooking the harbour, is ideal for a walk by the sea and the white sandy Las Higuericas and El Mójon Beaches are the most visited in summer.
