Description
This vibrant, beautiful city is historical and modern in equal parts; the castle “Santa Barbara” on top of the Monte Benecantil has amazing views over the town, the Cathedral San Nicolas de Bari located in the heart of the old quarter and the Baroque Town Hall contribute to the historical parts of the city and are all popular tourist attractions.
If you like it modern, Alicante is a haven for shoppers with the very popular, chic “El Corte Ingles” department store and is home to many boutique stores. It has an abundant choice of Restaurants, amazing nightlife with a great nightclub and theatre scene. “Postiguet Beach” is a piece of luxury in the heart of Alicante city at the foot of Santa Barbara castle. Alicantes coast line has an array of beautiful sandy beaches, the best known being San Juan only 7 km from the city centre. Each summer in June the city is renowned all over the country for the Hogueras fiesta (the San Juan Bonfires).
In recent years the popularity of living in the capital has increased and there has been a large selection of new build developments including luxurious apartments and townhouses, within a short distance to the town centre and local beach.
