Description
Dehesa de Campoamor (Meadow of Love) is a popular seaside town on the Orihuela Costa on the border of the Costa Blanca and Costa Calida, making it a perfect location for exploring both the Murcia and Valencia regions of Spain. It is surrounded by spacious and abundant green areas, has magnificent views over the Mediterranean Sea and is sandwiched between the equally splendid beach towns of Cabo Roig and Mil Palmeras.
Best known for its fine golf course located just inland from the resort called the Club de Golf Campoamor, with three other prestigious golf courses nearby, Las Ramblas de Orihuela golf club, Villamartin golf club and Los Colinas golf club.
Campoamor offers 16km of beautiful, clean beaches with crystal clear water, the three main beaches are Cala De Campoamor, Playa De Campoamor and Caleta De La Glea.
The magnificent Blue flag, Playa de la Glea, is internationally recognised as one of the finest beaches in southern Costa Blanca and is a generous expanse of white sand, it is a mecca for sunseekers and a major tourist attraction for this part of Spain. The southernmost end of Playa de la Glea hosts a magnificent leisure marina, Puerto Deportivo Miguel Caballero, offering 348 private moorings for all sizes of sporting boats, yachts, and personal watercraft. The centre provides leisure and water-sports facilities in the summer months and boasts the haute-cuisine Restaurante Los Ángeles. The port also hosts a yacht club, Club Nautico Dehesa de Campoamor, which has stood adjacent to the safe-water harbour for nearly fifty years.
Located mid-way on Campoamor Beach, the beach bar (Chiringuito) offers a full bar service with refreshments and tasty light bites during the main summer season, not forgetting welcome shade and bathroom facilities.
At the southern end of the beach is Restaurante Montepiedra Playa offering beach cocktails, a traditional Spanish menu, a formal dining room, and a beachfront terrace with breathtaking Mediterranean Sea views. And North, is the WOW Beach Club by Las Colinas Golf. This upscale summer-only venue boasts a spectacular infinity pool, a spacious sun-drenched bathing terrace, and a Mediterranean restaurant serving an exquisite a la carte menu.
