Villamartin is a cosmopolitan, Mediterranean coastal resort in the southernmost quarter of the Alicante province, just 10 km southwest of Torrevieja. Villamartin Golf course

The famous Villamartin Golf Course hosted the World Championship event, “The Mediterranean Open” in 1994 and was constructed and built by Mr. Putmann and opened in June 1972. This 18-hole course is par 72 and the length is 6132 meters from the white tees, 6037 from yellow, and 5259 from red. It is very diverse and unlike many other courses in this part of Spain whereby none of the holes are equal, from where you can enjoy beautiful views over the Mediterranean Sea. The popular Clubhouse of Villamartín Golf Course offers an incomparable natural environment, his terrace is the ideal place to recharge after your round of golf, with a wonderful view of the golf course. This stunning area of Spain has become a very popular destination, increasing numbers of golfers from the UK and Europe, partly thanks to the spectacular scenery and take advantage of the sublime sunny and warm winter climate – according to the ‘World Health Organisation’, one of the healthiest on earth. Villamartin Plaza – The most famous of the commercial centres

At the heart of the community is this beautiful and traditionally Spanish Plaza built of typical Spanish architecture, set over two levels, featuring a stunning square built around a central courtyard with fountains, rockeries, and palm trees. Residential homes overlook the beautiful central area, with many busy restaurants and bars below. It’s a focal point and a lively oasis at the heart of Villamartin and conveniently located opposite the internationally renowned Villamartin Golf Club.

If you prefer to eat in, there is a small supermarket located within the Plaza, as well as other day to day amenities such as bank and several ATM cash points, hair dresser, dental services, osteopaths, post office, and private doctor all  located in and around the Plaza.
